Heritage Park: Experience Living History

Heritage Park: Experience Living History

One of the many amazing options provided in our Companion Program is Heritage Park Canada’s largest living History Museum. Filled with hundreds of exhibits including steam-powered trains, a ferry boat, historical buildings, shops, restaurants, and antique midway rides, the park has something for everyone and will be sure to leave you in awe. Heritage Park brings to life Western Canadian history from the 1860’s to the 1950’s. There’s no better way to experience a new city, or country, than learning the stories that shaped it.

The park also hosts an impressive collection of automobile memorabilia and vintage vehicles at Gasoline Alley Museum. Heritage Park also has a free town square with a beautiful plaza, shops, and café situated right next to the beautiful Glenmore Reservoir.

Heritage Park is also hosting a variety of events during IAWP 2018. Get hands-on with some classic country activities such as butter churning, ice-cream making, lassoing and much more at Country Kickback. For those hoping to experience something new, how about a fine dining experience in a vintage Canadian Pacific Railway car? Brag to your friends with this one of a kind event by attending River Forth Dining Car Lunch on August 29, or listen to local artists during Music In The Plaza at the Town-square for free on August 29th.
