
In Spring 2018, the Calgary Zoo will be welcoming some highly anticipated guests: a brand-new panda family!
Giant pandas Er Shun and Da Mao will coming from the Toronto Zoo along with their rare twin cubs, Jia Panpan (Canadian Hope) and Jia Yueyue (Canadian Joy). This is part of the Panda Conservation Breeding Program that works to ensure the ongoing survival of the species. The pandas will be staying at the Panda Passage, which is a newly constructed habitat that promises to offer a unique experience for those discovering these elusive animals.
The Calgary Zoo is a great destination to experience while in Calgary, with 707 animals representing 130 different species to be discovered. It is also part of our Companion Program, which offers a variety of tours highlighting Calgary and the surrounding area during the IAWP for family members and other travel companions.
